The StarLight™ Work-State Taxonomy

Unlike traditional HR metrics that label employees, StarLight™ identifies the nature of the work being performed at any given moment. This forensic classification allows management to optimize yield by shifting capacity away from friction and toward high-value output.

Producer Capacity

The high-yield state where the actual "final work product" is created (e.g., an author writing the manuscript). This is the direct P&L driver.

Contributor State

A necessary state for work product creation, though not the work product itself. This is a "notch below" producer and includes the foundational efforts that enable production (e.g., an author conducting research for a book).

Maintainer Work-Clusters
